  A trailer has arrived online for Tom DiCillo's When You're Strange, a documentary about Jim Morrison and The Doors. The movie premiered at Sundance last year and will finally be getting a limited theatrical release this April. Narrated by Johnny Depp, it was created mostly from archival footage shot between 1965 and the death of Morrison in 1971.   I'll be the first to admit that I have a weakness for documentaries that look at subcultures in a quirky or humourous light, but there's a fine line between presenting a playful character study and mocking your subject(s).   Looks like director Spike Jonze will be teaming up with his old friend Adam Yauch for the DVD release of his new documentary Tell Them Anything You Want: A Portrait of Maurice Sendak, about the renowned author of Where The Wild Things Are. Although the film, which was co-directed by Lance Bangs, originally aired on HBO last year, the DVD will be distributed by Yauch's Oscilloscope Laboratories.   So let me get this straight... we've got a documentary about Tool / A Perfect Circle / Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan, and it has nothing to do with music? Okay, now I'm interested.
