A while ago I put up a post about the films of Courtney Fathom Sell. His filmography consists of a great collection of no-budget hi8 documentaries that exploit their analog video presentation in the best possible ways. In fact, a DVD compilation of his work came out just this past November…you can purchase it here.
The Hole is the name of Courtney’s next project and a teaser trailer has just made its way on to the inter-webz and I have to say it looks great! This time he teams up with fellow filmmaker Billy Feldman and the hi8 video has been upgraded to a Canon 7D, which should be interesting. The Hole (not to be confused with the 2001 film or Joe Dante’s upcoming 3D kids picture) is “30 Feet below sea level, mafia dumping ground, and home of The Black Cowboy Federation.” Sounds like Vernon, Florida meets Gummo! Have a look at the trailer below and leave your thoughts in the comments section.

The cinematography looks like the wonderful work of budding cinematographer Ashley Connor.
Billy Feldman is the man!
kick ass. whats the name of the that song?
