I admit that I have been taught that the natural state of my hair is "bad" and to modified it with heat (straighten it) makes it "better" but those that are born with hair that can easily be styled and managed is the definative answer to what "good hair" is and that is it in a nutshell. And we African American women got it the worse when it comes to striving for the "good hair" effect through the means shown in this movie. Kudo's to you Mr. Rock for exposing our psychosis.
