When me and Sean attended Sundance this past January, we managed to find a lull in our schedule and made our way over to the Slamdance Festival for a screening of the documentary Zombie Girl. It was definitely a worthwhile addition to our already hectic day and turned out to be one of the better films we’d seen on our trip. For anyone who are hearing about this film for the first time, the synopsis is simple: A 12 year old girl decides to shoot a feature length zombie film! How fun is that? Not to mention she has one of the best, most supportive Mom’s in the world. Anyways, I just received an email from SnagFilms and it looks like Zombie Girl will be featured on the site from Friday, August 14th to Thursday, August 20th! BONUS. Be sure to head on over and check it out! It’s well worth your time.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up! This is such a neat film.
Heard about this on the podcast. Thought you mentioned it in relation to Hot Docs, not Sundance. Any idea if this will get a DVD release?
I think we may have discussed the film a little on our Hot Docs show because it played at that festival as well, but we had originally seen it at Slamdance in January. As for a DVD release, haven’t heard anything about one. Not sure if it got picked up. All I know is the final zombie film would make a great bonus feature!
