  It's easy to forget how much of an accomplishment the Apollo moon missions were. Looking back on it now, it seems like the entire event is represented by the same over-saturated stock clips and sound bytes, robbing it of any sense of passion, adventure or danger. Let's just think about this for a second; these men were strapping themselves to the end of a 36 story rocket and being shot into space...in the 60's.   If you're a gamer, you may have already heard about Ian Cofino's upcoming documentary I Got Next, but here's the latest update: it's finally available online, free of charge! The movie explores the culture surrounding fighting video games, specifically the Street Fighter series. While this is clearly a low-budget amateur affair, the trailer has some decent graphic design and titles, and it features a song by The Go! Team, so it can't be all bad, right? I don't really know who any of these guys are, but the energy and the size of the crowds at these tournaments are pretty insane. ...

  Do you like Italian gangster flicks? Mike Malloy's upcoming documentary Eurocrime: The Italian Cop and Gangster Films That Ruled The '70s appears to be on the same wavelength as Not Quite Hollywood, in that it pays tribute to a wave of underground films coming out of one country at a particular point in time. It may not have Quentin Tarantino's name on it, but it looks to have plenty of fascinating war stories, not to mention a kick ass soundtrack as well.
