If you’re a gamer, you may have already heard about Ian Cofino’s upcoming documentary I Got Next, but here’s the latest update: it’s finally available online, free of charge! The movie explores the culture surrounding fighting video games, specifically the Street Fighter series. While this is clearly a low-budget amateur affair, the trailer has some decent graphic design and titles, and it features a song by The Go! Team, so it can’t be all bad, right?
I don’t really know who any of these guys are, but the energy and the size of the crowds at these tournaments are pretty insane. Check out the “short cut” of the movie streaming now on UfragTV, or find links to download the torrent on the official website. A longer cut of the movie is being prepared for the winter of 2009. Get a taste of the action via the trailer, embedded below.
