Last year at the Toronto Film Festival, one of the documentaries that got the most attention was Adria Petty’s Paris Not France: a “no holds barred” look at everyone’s favourite rebel heiress, Paris Hilton. The word from people who saw it is that it didn’t really live up to the hype (surprise, surprise), and the media circus that surrounded it was mostly fabricated by Hilton herself. However, if, like me, you’re still a bit curious, it looks like you’ll probably get a chance to see it relatively soon.
According to Yahoo!, MTV has acquired the rights to the 78-minute film, and plans to air it sometime this summer (no doubt they’ll find a way to tie it in with the second season of Paris Hilton’s My New BFF). One gets the impression that she is smarter than she lets on, but on the other hand, a movie that makes her out to be a mastermind and genius could get annoying really quickly. I don’t think Paris Hilton is a Genius, but this will deffineitly be an interesting watch just to see a different side of her.
Honestly, I can’t wait to watch this… I’ve NEVER been a fan of Paris, and to be honest, I used to hate her, but I’m not sure that things are as they appear. There’s always a reason to why people are as they are, so watching some of the things she’s been through throughout her life, could maybe gives some clues, beause I’ve been having a thought that Paris isn’t as bad as the media or herself portrays her.
I can’t wait to watch this on MTV! I’ve always loved Paris, and I have always came to her defence whenever I hear people saying bad things about her. I just can’t belive that some people that don’t even KNOW her, can have such bad things to say about her, and quite frankily it sickens me, and disgusts me…
I went to the MTV premiere of this film tonight, and I have never been a fan of Paris Hilton. After seeing her in person and seeing this film (that wasn’t actually a very good movie …ick) I have gained a new respect for her. She is a real person and the dumb act is just her character. She does have a brain up there. It is an interesting watch…
i think she is smart.she makes money for what fans would pay for and she uses it to her advantage
