MTV to Air Paris Not France: Adria Petty’s Paris Hilton Documentary

Last year at the Toronto Film Festival, one of the documentaries that got the most attention was Adria Petty’s Paris Not France: a “no holds barred” look at everyone’s favourite rebel heiress, Paris Hilton. The word from people who saw it is that it didn’t really live up to the hype (surprise, surprise), and the media circus that surrounded it was mostly fabricated by Hilton herself. However, if, like me, you’re still a bit curious, it looks like you’ll probably get a chance to see it relatively soon.

According to Yahoo!, MTV has acquired the rights to the 78-minute film, and plans to air it sometime this summer (no doubt they’ll find a way to tie it in with the second season of Paris Hilton’s My New BFF). One gets the impression that she is smarter than she lets on, but on the other hand, a movie that makes her out to be a mastermind and genius could get annoying really quickly. Check out the trailer for Paris Not France below and see what you think.
