  My time was unfortunately short in Park City. Me and Sean spent a sold 3 days trying to catch as many films as possible. The bad news? The first day only had one screening!! Either way, we caught seven films in total and four of them were documentaries. Actually, we only caught three Sundance docs and one Slamdance doc. Either way, I've already written up a review for Tyson, and I figured I'd just catch up on the others in one big post here.   I must say I'm much more pleased with this years non-fiction Oscar nominees than last years. Unfortunately, I still haven't seen two of the five nominees (Trouble the Water and The Garden) but I'm pretty thrilled about the other three. I'm especially glad that Ellen Kuras' Betrayal - Nerakhoon got a well deserved mention. Man on Wire seemed to be a shoe in, but Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World is sort of a surprise. I can't say it really makes up for the previous Grizzly Man snub though. What do you guys think of the results? Any ...

  I'm not a huge boxing fan, so I guess the first thing I can say about director James Toback's 'Tyson' is you don't have to be a fan of the sport to appreciate the film. Having said that, I know I overheard a few self-proclaimed boxing fans expressing disappointment that they didn't learn anything they didn't already know. I can't really argue with them there as someone who knows Mike best as the Nintendo "Punch Out" character that's also a convicted rapist.
