Werner Herzog Honoured by IDA

Werner Herzog is set to receive athe International Documentary Association’s 2008 ‘Career Achievement Honour’ on December 5th. This is obviously great to hear, considering his massive non fiction filmography; most of which has challenged the conventions of documentary filmmaking. “Documentary filmmaking is called upon to find new answers…In these times of redefinition, it is a particular honor for me to receive the award.” I’d love to hear his speech at this reception.
