It seems as though THINKFilm has been behind almost all of the big documentary releases lately, and now they’ve just added another strong title to their long list. Werner Herzog’s ‘Encounters at the End of the World’ is to receive a joint release by THINKFilm and Image Entertainment, in association with The Discovery Channel Films. BONUS! I’ve yet to see the film, but have high hopes. In fact, I haven’t even seen a trailer! What’s the deal? It premiered at last years Toronto International Film Festival, but I haven’t really heard much about it since then. I’m just hoping that the Arctic is as obscene as the jungle. The film is set to hit theatres this June and will work its way to DVD shortly thereafter. I’m f’n pumped!

I have seen it at the Dubai International Film Festival and i’m still completely stunned!
It its not only the greatest documentary i’ve seen but one of the greatest movies ever.
I actually didnt even know about this project until i saw the name in the festival’s movie list and i decided to watch because it was Herzog’s. I was aware of his previous works, such as Grizzly man and all but i wasnt expecting to watch this incredible movie.
I highly recommend it.It was an unbeliaveable experience, and for me he really acheived a higher standart as artist, filmamaker and human being all in the same movie. its great.

‘Encounters at the End of the World’ looks absolutely fascinating from what I’ve read, although it also looks really, really cold. I’d be very interested in checking this out.
