Good list
Just to throw my 2 cents, my favourite documentary of all time would be “Grey Gardens”. Pure magic on film!

Some docs that I miss:
“Workingman´s death” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478331/)
“Step across the border” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100692/)
“Spellbound” would definitely be in my top 10 list (I assume you already know this film)
“Wild Style” is a must, very fun to watch (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084904/)
some Agnés Varda maybe

oh, and thanks for NOT putting “Man On Wire” on that list!

If you haven’t seen “Streetwise” then you are missing out. Absolutely #1 on my list, and judging from yours, we have fairly similar taste. Also Errol Morris’ “First Person” series is just as powerful as his early work. I also would like to see some Wiseman on the list!
