Morgan Spurlock Takes On Osama Bin Laden

I can’t say I was the biggest fan of Morgan Spurlock’s sleeper hit ‘Supersize Me’. I thought it was a little gimmicky and I didn’t think the ultimate message was anything we didn’t already know. Yes, you’ll get sick if you eat only fast food for a month straight. It seems as though the overwhelming interest in his film was almost an extension of reality television; watch a man eat fast food until he’s physically ill. A sort of socially acceptable version of Fear Factor. But it worked, and now we’ve got a new Michael Moore in town. So what’s next? Well, after humiliating Ronald McDonald (Side note: My first word as a child was Ronald), Spurlock has his sites set on an even bigger clown, Osama Bin Laden. This is a pretty huge step up i’d say. It sort of sounds like ‘Roger & Me’ meets ‘Rambo: First Blood’. Spurlock takes a look at the horrible job the American government has done at tracking down the ultimate mastermind of 9/11, still on the loose after almost six years since the terrorist attacks which he masterminded. According to JoBlo, Spurlock is putting the final touches on the film for it’s Toronto International Film Festival premiere. There’s even some major distribution deals in the works as we speak. I’ll admit my interest is piqued. Will Spurlock be digging through rabbit holes sporting a red headband and cross bow? I sure as fuck hope so. Blood will spill, and Spurlock will be judge, jury, AND executioner.

I like Morgan a lot better than Moore. He flushes-out the nit and grit of the issues. This is what reality tv has failed to be.
Morgan is the only one that’s got it right.
Watch and learn something real.
