March of the Penguins - Morgan Freeman + Queen Latifah x Fart Jokes = Arctic Tale

If you loved March of the Penguins and you’re under the age of 15, you’ll love the trailer for ‘Arctic Tale’. However, if you fall in the 20 and up age group, you might be left scratching your head with this one. Brought to you by the producers of the almighty penguin documentar to end all penguin documentaries, Arctic Tale stars a young walrus and polar bear in a coming of age journey:

The film follows the walrus, Seela and the polar bear, Nanu, on their journey from birth to adolescence to maturity and parenthood in the frozen Arctic wilderness. Once a perpetual winter wonderland of snow and ice, the walrus and the polar bear are losing their beautiful icebound world as it melts from underneath them.

I don’t mean to sound like an asshole, but this trailer is shit. I realize the family angle taken with March of the Penguins (Hell, the original French gave the penguins voice overs!) and other nature documentaries of that type, but fart jokes? I was expecting to see ‘A Bob Saget Film’ pop up at some point in this trailer. At least Farce of the Penguins had a Norm MacDonald appearance. On the upside, I guess this is an ok family viewing alternative to the overload of shit CG cartoons flooding theatres. (I’m looking at you Shrek 3)
