  Variety is reporting that David Lynch may be releasing a doc of his own in the near future. According to their article, Lynch had been secretly shooting a documentary feature during the filming of his latest 3+ hour epic 'Inland Empire'. The film will capture the making of the movie and detail his artistic process as a director.   I usually try to avoid two Michael Moore posts in a row, but I suppose this is worth mentioning. According to CNN.com, Michael Moore is under investigation by the U.S. Treasury Department for taking some Ground Zero workers to Cuba without permission. The stunt was for a segment in his upcoming documentary 'Sicko' (see the post below this one) in which, i'm assuming, he's demonstrating how a Cuban health care system is more beneficial to 9/11 workers than the flawed U.S. system.   Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Michael Moore's films wield a certain power, be it through honest journalistic investigation or post-processed fact twisting. Personally I still find his films to be both entertaining and eye opening, but I suppose I could just be naive. His latest film, 'Sicko', takes on the American health care system and according to Comingsoon.net, has just found a release date; June 29th of this year.   Marc Singer is probably best known for his amazing film Dark Days. (Unless you're talking about the OTHER Marc Singer, best known for his role as Dar, The Beastmaster!!) Not only is it a great documentary, but Singer’s impressive performance as a first-time filmmaker shooting in the dark, dingy abandoned subway tunnels of New York City was an inspiration to amateur and independent filmmakers.
