Zoo (Audio Review)

zoobig.jpgZoo is a film that I’ve been looking forward to seeing for some time. Obviously the unusual story had me interested from the start, but I must say that after reading a few lacklustre reviews, I had my worries. The film, directed by Robinson Devor, is shot entirely as re-enactments, not unlike Kevin MacDonald’s amazing film ‘Touching the Void’. This past weekend me and Sean had a chance to check the film out at the Hot Docs film festival and it’s fair to say we both came out as changed men. Check out the audio review below (available in the ODEO player or a downloadable mp3) to here our thoughts. This review was originally recorded for our Film Junk podcast, which you can also check out here.

Oh man… I totally wanted to see this movie. The trailer seemed slick to the point of insanity!
As for the review… yeah, maybe we don’t get to see everything we “want” to see. But… there’s always the internet. There’s people fucking animals all over the place.
