  It's almost that time of year again. Toronto's Hot Docs film festival is upon us and the preliminary announcements have been made. For those of you who haven't heard of the festival, i'll let their own press release do the nicely worded talking: Hot Docs, North America's largest documentary festival, will present its 14th annual edition from April 19 - 29, 2007. An outstanding selection of 100+ documentaries from Canada and around the world will be presented to Toronto audiences and international delegates.   So i've been really thinking about this whole idea of going through with a feature version of my student documentary film, Obsessed & Scientific. I've written a rough treatment, and i'm pretty positive that it could make an interesting film. I've also been thinking about the logistics involved in bringing such a project to life. I'm currenty comfortable in a great job, and i'm looking to buy a house in the next year.   For those of you waiting patiently for Errol Morris's next film project, S.O.P.: Standard Operating Procedure, here's a litte quick fix for those of you going through 'interro-tron' withdrawal. Yahoo! Movies reports that Morris is just about wrapped on a short Oscar opening for this years ceremonies.   Abortion...Racism...Tony Kaye must've grown up watching alot of after school specials. Seriously though, am I the only person who felt American History X walked a very fine line of cheese? I will, however, give it points for introducing 'curbing' into popular culture, something the ABC Afterschool Specials simply didn't have the balls to do.
