  There's been a few video game documentaries that I can think of off the top of my head, but none really worth mentioning. (aside from The Wizard. That was a documentary, right?) At this years Sundance Film Festival, there's an 8 bit battle being waged between two video game documentaries.   The trials and tribulations of a foster child is something I will never understand completely. Coming from a stable, classically structured family, I’ve never had to experience the trauma of separation or the emotional gaps created by absent parents. I think it’s fair to say that the foster child is typically thought of as a disobedient trouble maker, shifting from family to family due to extreme behavioral issues.   I don't know how many 'rockumentaries' i've watched in the last year that have claimed to document the 'Most Influential Musician of All Time!'. Just when I thought that Daniel Johnston claimed that crown, here comes director Stephen Kijak and his film 'Scott Walker: 30th Century Man', the most 'influential and enigmatic figure in rock history'!   Friends of The Documentary Blog are more than aware of the buzz caused by director Robinson Devor's documentary 'Zoo'. The film found early success at Sundance after being picked up by THINKFilm, but it looks like some early reviews haven't been as favourable as we'd hoped. The wonderous website /Film has given the film a suprising 2 out of 10, stating that horribly exucted re-enactments caused some unintentional laughter throughout the audience.   I haven't really been keeping up with all of the Sundance business currently ripping up the blog-o-sphere.   I’m not a huge sports fan, but I do tend to have a soft spot for dramatic films based on ball games that I’d otherwise pay no attention to. The mixture of coming of age athleticism and a struggle to overcome unimaginable odds just gets me every time. The story of the 1970 Marshall University Thundering Herd football team is probably as dramatic as it gets. ‘Ashes to Glory’ documents the tragic events that have inspired an upcoming Warner Bros. feature film.
