A while back I posted about ‘Jonestown: The Life and Death of People’s Temple’ as it was making its festival run. Well now the official trailer is online over at Apple and my excitement for this film still stands. I’ve always been interested in the story of Jim Jones. A few months ago i came across the audio recording of the sermon Jones gave as the members of his People’s Temple drank the infamous purple kool-aid. (actually it was ‘flavour-aid’) I must say the recording is chilling, and if it’s any indication of what this film has to offer I think we’re in for an effective look at one of the strangest accounts of mass-suicide in American history.
