I watched this Movie and I found it very interesing. It amazes me to read some of these comments. Obviously the individuals who posted these comments know nothing about the prison system. Im sure if they or members of their family were ever victimized by any of these inmates, these comments would be very different. I really wish people would do their homework and live in reality before making comments on predators (inmates) being the victims. Let us not forget about the real victims. Inmates deserve no rights, 90 percent of them would stab their grandmother to get ahead. The prison systems are far to accommodating now days and that is the primary reason our prisons are so over populated. Any comments or rebuttal feel free to email me socalgonzales@yahoo.com

I think that what I viewed of the movie was very degrading.
I hope that someone or group or organization can change things for the inmates for the better.

I am surprised at the review that's given of this film. Did you put on hold the fact that you are a fellow human being while you watched this? I never had a real opinion about the system or thought about it much at all. But how would it be living in a jail? I don't know how i would live. People commit a crime and are handed a sentence concerning years, maybe all of their life - they are having their life taken away - they are dying a slow, torturous death. An inmate is shown while prison personnel question him about water flooding out of his cell and into the hall. He replies that he has been asking for a plumber for weeks and the toilet was completely full of waste and had not been fixed. They decide he is guilty of the random flooding and he is taken to a different, disciplinary cell where he walks in to find a plugged-up toilet full of shit. and they shut the door. Yeah thats funny in an ironic way - AND THAT IS ALSO REALITY FOR SOMEONE. The movie ends with a 20 yr old fervently, insistently yelling down the yard to the video camera about how fucked up prison is and another inmate quietly tells the camera "He's young, no more than 23 probably. And he's yelling because he's dying. I was like that when i came here 20 years ago. I was 20 yrs old, now im 40.
