‘Jesus Camp’ plays Traverse City Film Festival

In a follow up to Jay’s post about Jesus Camp, the film was screened as originally planned during Michael Moore’s Traverse City Film Festival.

In reaction to Magnolia’s attempts to have the film removed from the festival Moore stated, “Then they sent me the film this week to show it in the festival,” he said. “Then, one day before its screening, after all its tickets have been sold, they sent me and the press a fax saying they want the film pulled.”

It is very clear that the studio wants the public to be aware that the film is neutral in regards to it’s subject matter but this smells like a publicity stunt in my opinion. Kudos to Moore for not giving in and screening the film as planned.
