Welcome to the first installment in The Documentary Blog Podcast! We know, there’s tons of podcasts out there and you’re telling yourself that you just don’t have time to add one more to your already packed list of quality entertainment. Well think again!
Here’s the idea…I sit down with a guest and watch a documentary film of my choice, and right after the screening we talk about what we thought of the movie, the subject matter, and life in general! What else could you ask for? Well a six demon bag of course. We hope to make this a semi-regular feature on the documentary blog, so stay tuned!
This week I sat down with Doug Nagy (www.dougnagy.com) to watch Errol Morris’ classic first film Gates of Heaven. Have a listen!

I’m pretty offended. I check this site every day man!
I think I’m safe enough in my sexuality that I will put out there, that I’m a pretty big fan of Jay so… For Sean and maybe Doug - that’s a little collateral if I ever blackmail you.

If you still want to send me your movie let me know, because I’ve actually managed to move since i last sent you my address (!).

Hey Henrik,
Email me your new address. I have felt somewhat productive as of late, so i may actually find the energy to drive to the post office and send it!

Good first podcast. I really, really like the intro music and having Doug co-host the first one was an excellent idea.
Started off a bit slowly but picked up a great deal towards the end. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Maybe a dumb question, but did you make this using Skype? The sound seemed a bit weird.

No, I realized after the show that the mid-range levels on nagy’s mic were cranked all the way up. That in combination with his fragile pixie-like voice caused the strange sound issues.
